Under Gavin Newsom’s leadership Cali has introduced a bill to authorize $500,000 for “federal litigation expenses” against the Trump White House. A second bill would set aside $25 million for lawyers to sue the Trump administration and defend the state against “enforcement and legal actions taken by the federal government”. Wow, talk about preparedness, all while cutting the wildland firefighter budget by $100 million enabling a massive swath of California be reduced to tinder. Not just forests, you’re talking entire communities of homes, schools, places of worship, you name it. If this doesn’t convince California voters to oust the overtaxing and underperforming elite political cesspool than nothing will, but I am confident a whole bunch of things are going to change, including Newsom’s presidential aspirations swirling down the toilet.
